Wildwood Valley Villa and Cottages - Margaret River, WA South West
Address:
Wildwood Road, YALLINGUP, Western Australia, Australia
Description:
Wildwood Valley, with its magnificent views to the sea, is set on 120 acres in the heart of the Margaret River region. One of the oldest and most beautiful properties in the area, it is currently run as a horse stud by the Sargent family and as a haven for any wildlife choosing to live here. We enjoy being small, personalised and with the unique signature of the ?sounds of silence', the still starlit sky, sunsets over the sea, the sounds of the bushland, wind in the trees, birdsongs, crickets and frogs. Walk in our natural bushland at sunset or dawn and see abundant kangaroos, or just sit in the garden and listen to natures sounds. Wildwood Valley has five bedrooms with private bathrooms, and numerous living spaces. This allows guests the choice of sharing experiences with others or escaping to a quiet room with a good book. All bedrooms have fans, fridges and air conditioning. Our living areas, many of which have views to the sea, include a tea and coffee lounge upstairs, a large lounge with open wood fire, snooker room and a separate TV/video/DVD lounge. Breakfast around the 12-foot table is often a prolonged leisurely affair, with great conversations. It includes a gourmet continental breakfast, fresh fruit platters and delicious cooked breakfast. The large decking with adjacent gazebo, barbecue area and pizza oven is a wonderful place to relax or dine with friends. In a separate wing of our main villa with its own private entrance is the spacious well-appointed two bedroom self contained apartment which is ideal for a family or 2 couples. Alternatively, for a slightly larger group, our superb spacious, self contained "Dragonfly Cottage" with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms will accommodate a group of six. Surrounded by bush with wonderful views to the sea from all living rooms and decking - you will never want to leave! Last but not least is "Honeybee Cottage". Brand new and designed for couples wanting a romantic retreat, it provides all the luxury you want, king bed, double bath overlooking the sea, two deck areas, gourmet breakfast hamper, magnificent views plus total seclusion.

Getting There:
To get to Wildwood Valley travelling along the Kwinana Freeway heading south: Stay on the freeway and follow the signs saying Mandurah. Take the Mandurah turn off. You will bypass the town of Mandurah, follow the signs to Bunbury, then Busselton and on to Dunsborough. Perth to Mandurah - 45 minutes Mandurah to Bunbury - one hour Bunbury to Busselton - half hour Busselton to Dunsborough - 25 minutes Coming into Busselton stay on the new bypass road and don't take turn into Busselton. Keep going straight on for approx 6 km and eventually you will come to a large roundabout. Turn right signposted to Dunsborough (do not turn left to Margaret River). You will come to a T-junction turn left and follow signs to Dunsborough and Yallingup (you will be travelling along Caves Road). You need to drive through to Dunsborough going straight through 2 roundabouts following the signs to Yallingup. You are now on Caves Road and will need to travel approx 8 km until you see the turn off on the left to Margaret River. This is immediately after the Yallingup Hall on the left corner. Travel approx. 3 km down this road and just after you see the ?Sienna Lodge? Restaurant on your right, slow down and take the next left turn down Wildwood Road. Drive 2.2 km along Wildwood Road and when you see the yellow diamond road sign for the ?Crest?, slow down as our turning is directly opposite on the right hand side. The roads are very good and mostly dual highway. There is a large police presence in WA particularly down south! Have a safe journey and look forward to welcoming you here at Wildwood Valley!
