Garden Studio

Room Information:

The Garden Studio is a charming, split level suite on the lower floor. It has its own entry, a spa bath, a bathroom (with bath) and even a kitchenette. The queen-size bed on the mezzanine level overlooks a lounge area below. The lounge settee will fold out to accommodate a third person if required - $35.00. When sitting in the bay window guests are virtually sitting in the garden. The view past an old oak tree takes in the rest of the garden as it cascades down the mountainside. This room also has electric blankets, television, DVD player, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary chocolates or home made shortbreads on arrival. A sumptuous full English style breakfast is included.

Getting There:

How to get there If driving from Melbourne make your way to either Montrose or Upper Ferntree Gully and turn onto the Mount Dandenong Tourist Road. Drive to Olinda and turn off into the Olinda-Monbulk Rd. Orchard House is to the left on a curve exactly 2 km from the turn-off. To avoid driving past, set your trip meter at the turn-off and slow down at the 1.9 km mark. If you come any other way and your GPS directs you up Hackets Road ? don?t go there - it is a goat track. If using public transport take the train to Croydon and catch the 688 bus to Olinda. The 2 km walk to Orchard House is pleasant in good weather.
