Set amongst six acres of tranquil gardens and bushland, Carawah Ridge offers couples the finest in bed & breakfast accommodation and the chance to escape to your own private sanctuary.
Two delightfully decorated exclusive apartments, GARDEN Apartment & VISTA apartment, both with private balconies offering guests the opportunity to enjoy stunning views of Buffalo Creek Valley, relax by the pool or simply stroll through the wonderfully kept gardens.
Your apartment contains everything you need in order to relax and rejuvenate including a luxurious king size bedroom. Settle in with a bottle of wine or perhaps just unwind with a tea or coffee.
A breakfast basket is delivered to your door each day for you to prepare breakfast at your leisure. Menu includes eggs, bacon, fresh tomatoes if you prefer a hot breakfast as well as full range of continental, e.g. range of breads, yoghurt, fresh fruit, juice, cereals etc. Entirely your indulgence. Excellent local eateries available for lunch and dinner.
PETS POLICY: Small breed only dogs are welcome and may accompany their owners to Carawah Ridge with conditions. Please specify the breed of dog when making your initial inquiry.

Children & Extra Guest Policy:
Parents should note that Carawah Ridge caters primarily for adult couples seeking a quality time away. As such, there are no facilities for children, however, we are able to provide accommodation for families under the following;
a) Teenagers occupying their own apartment and charged at the full nightly rate.
b) Babies, aged up to 18 months, whose parents provide the child's own cot and all other provisions required for their stay, will be happily accommodated free of charge.
Reception Information:
Reception hours 8:30 am - 9:30 pm but as we are on-site Managers we can be contacted 24 hours a day if necessary.

Things to do:
You may share this sanctuary with the abundant bird life who love to keep you company as you wander through the many hidden gardens, laze by the pool in our beautiful summer months or watch from your window as you sip a glass of wine cuddled up in the warm of your apartment in the cooler months of the year.
If you feel more energetic there are great rural walks along our country road with a great view of the north face of Mt Buffalo.
Bring your bicycles or hire ours and cycle back into town and take the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail for an hour or two stopping off for a coffee or lunch at either one of the wineries or the beautiful little boutique Pub at Ovens.
Local Attractions:
While you may never want to leave Carawah Ridge begin_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting, you may wish to venture out to some of the beautiful areas that surround us.
Spend the day sampling the regions famous wines at the many wineries and vineyards.

MURRAY TO THE MOUNTAINS RAIL TRAIL Following historical railway lines the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail provides 94km of bitumen sealed track well suited to both cycling and walking. The trail has a gentle gradient that makes it suitable for all ages and levels of fitness, and is a must do for all visitors to the region.
THE GREAT ALPINE ROAD is a 308-kilometre route that extends from Wangaratta in the north-east to Bairnsdale in the heart of Gippsland. The road is Australia?s highest year-round accessible sealed road and winds past lofty mountains, valleys, forests, rivers, vineyards and farms. Sample local food and wine, and fish, cycle, climb or ride along the way.
NATIONAL PARKS Discover the sheer cliffs, wildflowers and some of the states highest peaks within the Alpine National Park.
FOOD AND WINE Call in at the cellar doors and winery restaurants to taste local food and produce.
HISTORY AND HERITAGE Learn about the traditions of the high country cattlemen and bushrangers at historic gold villages
ADVENTURE In summer get outdoors and fish, go mountain biking, gliding, abseiling, bush walking, kayaking or horse riding.
Getting There:
When you arrive in Myrtleford on the Great Alpine Way you turn at the intersection sign posted to 'Lake Buffalo 21 km' on Buffalo River Road, continue for 2 kilometres then turn left into Buffalo Creek Road. Carawah Ridge Bed & Breakfast is 5.14 kilometres from the turnoff and is on your right hand side. Long sweeping driveway lined with poplar trees. Welcome to Carawah Ridge.
