Forest accommoation in small coastal town of Southport, only minutes from beautiful sandy beaches. Set in 43 acres of native forest. Our separate guest wing includes three bedrooms accommodating up to six guests. It features colourful decor, local art and craft, central heating and a sunny guest deck. For Breakfast we offer homegrown produce, free range eggs, Tasmanian Salmon, tasty Birchermuesli with local fruit and berries in season and homemade bread and jams. The accommodation overlooks native forest and an organic garden. Enjoy abundant birdlife and you may even spot Pademelons, Possums and Bandicoots at dusk.

Local Attractions:
The area offers fantastic scenery with great views of Adamsons Peak and the Southwest Ranges. We are close to Hastings Caves and Thermal Pool. The Ida Bay railway takes you on a trip through bushland to the beautiful beach of Deep Hole. From there you can hike to the Southport Lagoon Conservation area. A trip to historic Recherche Bay and Cockle Creek rewards nature lovers. At the end of the road begins the Southcoast Track into the Wilderness. The 4 hr return day walk to South Cape Bay is a highlight.
Getting There:
Southern Forest B&B is easy to find. Just follow A6 from Hobart (1,5 hrs) to Southport. In Southport turn right before the Southport Tavern, we are situated on a forested hill 400m from the Tavern and 1km from the beach.
