Local Attractions:

Poised on the edge of both the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest on Cape Tribulation, the whole area is an exciting destination for sailing, cruising, diving, snorkelling, golf on championship courses, 4WD adventures and Mossman River cruises. Aboriginal experiences include guided bushwalks and the Flames of The Forest fine dining experience in the rainforest. Most tour operators will pick up directly from Saltwater's reception. A tropical getaway where a hire car is not necessary. A heated (when required) pool is available for guest use.

Getting There:

From Cairns airport Coach and Limousine transfers can be arranged SELF DRIVE TO SALTWATER Heading to Port Douglas from the airport is very easy- simply turn right at the T intersection leading from the airport (left is to Cairns) & simply follow the main road. They will encounter many round abouts but they are well sign- posted. A couple of the early ones may not have Port Douglas on them but head for Mossman if Port is not mentioned. Follow the main road through Palm Cove where the road narrows and you follow the coast until heading inland just before the small township of Craiglie (this will take you around 45 minutes if you don?t stop). Pass through Craiglie and approx 1 km further on, you will see the Port Douglas sign- turn right. Follow the main road (yet again some more roundabouts) and continue to the end- you will see a small hill once close to the township. Turn left at the T intersection into Macrossan St. Take the second right (Grant St) then the second drive on the left under the Saltwater building. Park anywhere then proceed through the white door at the end of the carpark and you'll end up beside our office. For Monsoon Villa, continue up Grant St to the top, turn left and approximately 100 m along you will come to Nautilus Restaurant- Monsoon Villa is next door (# 11 Murphy St); the top villa of the 2.
