Guest lounge with pool table and bar for your use as well as a second lounge area. Swimming pool with rainforest backdrop, BBQ, tea/coffee and other self catering facilities available. Four minutes walk to one of best restaurants in Mission Beach and ten minutes walk to Shopping Village, pub/resort, newsagent, chemist, butcher, supermarket, movie hire, gift shop, clothing boutiques and takeaway food outlets. Tour bookings can be arranged for you upon your arrival. "Simply The Best" is how one guest described their stay with us so we would like you to come and experience a short holiday or weekend away to see for yourself and enjoy the many pleasures Mission Beach has to offer. Location:
Mission Beach is approximately two hours' drive from both northern Queensland cities of Cairns and Townsville. From Cairns: Travel south along the Bruce Highway, you will pass through Innisfail. Approximately 20 minutes after Innisfail take the turn-off to Mission Beach on the left at El Arish. Ten minutes later, after driving through rainforest, you will pass a small industrial area including a hardware store. Turn right at the sign to Wongaling Beach, Cassowary Drive. Travel along this road for 4km until you reach a shopping centre. Turn left into Wongaling Beach Road, then left again at first street on left (Coolabah Street). Travel down and turn left at second street on left (Spurwood Close). Tropical Escape is just up on the right. From Townsville: Travel north along the Bruce Highway to Tully. 3km after Tully turn right at the Mission Beach turn-off. Travel along until you reach a shopping centre. Turn right into Wongaling Beach Road, then left again at first street on left (Coolabah Street). Travel down and turn left at second street on left (Spurwood Close). Tropical Escape is first house on right. Transport to Tropical Escape: If you are flying into Cairns you have a variety of choices, which include the Mission Beach Dunk Island Connections bus (does not connect to late flights). Bookings must be made in advance for this service. McCaffertys (now Greyhound) also travel into Mission Beach from both Cairns and Townsville. Sugarland Car Rentals also have a depot in Mission Beach and Cairns for one-way car rentals

The Reef Room is our largest room with a bigger ensuite. Queen size bed with a maximum of 2 adults only. TV, DVD player, fridge, ceiling fan, air-conditioning plus own key so you can lock your room and come and go via your patio door. Table and chairs overlooking front garden to enjoy a quiet drink and listen to the birds. Tea/coffee facilities are available as well as complimentary fruit juice and soft drinks.

Our Coral Room has a queen size bed and overlooks the front garden. Ensuite, TV, DVD player, fridge, air-conditioning, ceiling fan plus own door so you can lock your room and come and go via your patio door. Table and chairs outside on verandah. Coral Room is a little smaller than the Reef and Beach Rooms which is the only reason it is a little cheaper. Tropical Escape has a AAA Tourism Rating of 4.5 Stars.

Swimming pool and BBQ area to relax and catch up on a bit of reading, Have a game of Pool, DVD library to be lazy and either watch in lounge area or in the privacy of your bedroom, Tea/coffee facilities plus complimentary fruit juice and soft drinks, Crockery etc available so you can make a snack for lunch or have a BBQ so you do not have to eat out at restaurants for every meal on your holiday, we will also do the dishes for you!!!! Breakfast of fruit, yoghurt, cereal plus eggs, bacon etc is included in the rate to give you a good start for the day.
Local Attractions:
Day trips to Dunk Island and Island Cruises, Diving/snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef, White-water rafting, Skydiving and parasailing, World Heritage rainforest walking trails, Visit Paronella Park, Day trips to the Tablelands and local waterfall attractions, Golf at Tully or El Arish, Boat hire available, must have boat licence for larger motors, Enjoy our lovely 14km of beach, or perhaps just grab a book, a cold drink and laze on the sunlounge by the pool.
