We are nestled amongst many natural wonders of the Atherton Tablelands. Our property is located in a secluded valley at the end of a country road near the township of Kairi. We are just minutes away from Tinaroo Dam known for Water Sports, Wake Boarding, Skiing, and Barramundi Fishing, a short drive from the Historical village of Yungaburra famous for its Restaurants and Markets, and close to the Atherton Tablelands main township, Atherton, on the Cairns Highlands. You are welcome to bring your boats for use on Tinaroo Dam.

BARKING OWL RETREAT POLICIES No minimum night stay required-No Deposit required for Bookings-Credit Card Details are required to confirm all Bookings-Unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets-No smoking is permitted in Cottages-Cottages are serviced once on a Weekly stay only, extra Servicing Fee rate is $25 per hour-As dishwashers are provided dishes must be loaded prior to departure or you can choose to pay Service Fee of $25-On departure Cottages are expected to be left generally tidy and any extra cleaning incurred from guests, out of the ordinary, will incur an extra Servicing Fee of $25 per hour-Damage to or loss of Cottage Accessories, Equipment, Linen etc will incur a full reimbursement to current cost of item-Guests are responsible for damage loss or theft from their accommodation -Travel Insurance is recommended-Check in time 2.00 PM Check out time 10.00AM-Unless arranged prior, late check outs incur a $25 per hour Service Fee (Minimum charge $25)-Cancellations must be notified within 21 Days prior to booking due date (Public Holidays must be cancelled prior to 30 Days)-Cancellation Fee of 100% of Booking is due unless the Cottage is relet-Guests are responsible for full term of Bookings, and unless changes are made prior to Cancellation Policy date Guests are responsible for payment of full term booked-All Fees incurred will be charged to the Credit Card used to secure your booking-Barking Owl Retreat reserve the right to change these policies as required

Things to do:

Just relax and take in the views on your private back deck, watch your 26inch LCD whilst lounging around on the plush Sofa, Soak in the double Spa take a stroll on the property, or drop a line in the property Dam and catch a Sooty Grunter (Black Brim). Fishing equipment is supplied although you are welcome to bring your own. Don't fish, then just sit and relax on the Jetty, take in the view and birdsong whilst enjoying a Wine and Cheese Delight Hamper. After a busy day of indulging in the Tablelands offerings, enjoy one of our sumptuous BBQ Hampers on your back deck or dine in one of the Tablelands many nearby A-La-Carte Restaurants. Then finish the night with our Wine and Cheese Delight while listening to the peaceful call of the Barking Owl. Want to relax even more, then reserve an HAWAIIAN TEMPLE STYLE MASSAGE in the privacy of your own cottage.

We are also just minutes away from Tinaroo Dam for Water Sports & Fishing and Historical Township of Yungaburra for Fine Dining and their famous Markets. You are welcome to bring your boats for use on Tinaroo Dam.

Getting There:

Our property is located at 409 Hough Road KAIRI. Coming from Tolga, head towards Kairi on Tolga-Kairi Road, then turn left on to Hough Road, 500m prior to Stockman's Hall of Hay. Coming from Atherton, turn left on to Tolga-Kairi Road, and then turn right on to Hough Road, about 500m past Stockman's Hall of Hay. Follow Hough Road 4km to the end (as we are the last property) look for Rural No. 409 at the left of the gates.
