Privately situated at the end of a cul-de-sac, Hillside's high standards and attention to detail will make your time away a truly memorable experience. It has a warm friendly atmosphere and comprises the LYREBIRD SUITE (1 or 2 bedrooms) and the ROSE ROOM. In the picuresque grounds, GUMNUT COTTAGE offers fully self-contained accommodtion. Enjoy your leisurely breakfast prepared from a selection of goodies delivered to your Suite. Breakfast Hamper can be prepared upon request for Gumnnut Cottage for an extra charge.

Location:
Hillside A Country Retreat is situated on the Southern end of Mount Tamborine. From BRISBANE, take EXIT 57 which is the Tamborine/Oxenford and Hope Island turn-off. Follow the Tamborine/Oxenford road for about 3k's and turn LEFT into MAUDSLAND ROAD. Continue to the end where you will come to a T-junction. Turn RIGHT and you will be on the Nerang-Beaudesert Road (number 90). Follow this for about five mins and turn right into HENRI ROBERT DRIVE. Continue for approx 5.5k, we are the next Court on the right after Java Court. From SOUTH, drive NORTH on the MI, take EXIT 57 and follow directions above.

Gumnut Cottage is away from the house and totally on it's own. It has a deck with views to the Pacific Ocean, Gold Coast and a barbeque. There is a separate bedroom. In the lounge, a tv, DVD, video with lots of videos and there is also a fire. If you wanted to cook, there is a full kitchen with a washing machine for extended stays. The tariff for Gumnut Cottage is $200 per night per couple, with special reates if the stay is for 3 nights or more. Complimentary tea and coffee, Port and chocolates and a chees platter upon arrival. Gumnut Cottage is self-catering but breakfast hampers can be arranged for an extra $20 for 2 people.

Lyrebird Suite is self-contained with it's own entrance in a wing of the house. It has lovely views from all the windows. It has a separate bedroom and large en-suite. There is a tv, Cable TV, DVD, and a stereo in the lounge which has includes a fire. There is a kitchen and dining area. There is a barbecue in the grounds which you are welcome to use, adjoining the poos/spa. The tariff for the Lyrebird suite is $190 per night for 2 adults with special reates if the stay is for 3 nights or more. The tariff includes a breakfast hamper. Complimentary tea/coffee, Port and chocolates and a cheese platter upon arrival. The Lyrebird suite can be opened up into a two bedroom, two bathroom suite to suit families/or couples.

The Rose Room has a separate entrance in a wing of the house and overlooks the pool. It has a queen size bedroom with a TV, a separate large bathroom and a kitchenette which contains a fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. Complimentary Port and chocolates and a cheese platter upon arrival. The tariff of $170 per night for two adults includes a cooked breakfast served on our balcony overlooking a fabulous view across the Hinterland to the Pacific Ocean and Gold Coast.

Take a 'Tamborine Trolley Tour' and visit the Cheese Factory, Wineries, Liqueurs, fudge, lavender etc. Hike Witches Falls, Curtis Falls, through the Rain Forest, visit the Antique shops, Glow Worms, Botanical Gardens, Coffee Plantation, Arts & Crafts, Art Galleries. Dine and wine in the many varied Restaurants, or just sit back in front of the cosy fire, with a bottle of wine and a good book and relax. Massages can be arranged in-house. Do you have a sense of adventure, then visit Thunderbird Park and have fun at Adventure Parc or take a Horse Ride and breathe in the clear mountain air.
