Glenferrie Lodge is a historic Australian National Trust Building built in 1898 and located on Sydney Harbour in the suburb of Kirribilli, which is on the north sydney side of the Harbour. Kirribilli is a very historical area of Sydney, it has beautiful tree lined streets, some old majestic homes and quaint shady public parks that enjoy spectacular views overlooking Sydney Harbour. Just 30 metres away at the end of our street is the beautiful grounds of Kirribilli House which is the Australian Prime Ministers residence in Sydney and also admiralty house the Governor General's residence. Have a walk along the foreshore promenade and take some amazing panoramic snaps of the Harbour Bridge, Opera house and Sydney CBD from one of the most popular photography locations in Sydney. Visit Broughton Street at nightime and explore the local pubs, cafes & restaurants that are all bristling and buzzing with activity. Parking is on-street only. There are no parking meters. Some unristricted parking is available. During the week from 8:30am to 6:00pm its restricted to 2 hours. From 6pm to 8:30am it is unrestricted. Weekends are unrestricted. There is 24hour parking nearby at Luna Park for $20.

Directly opposite the Opera House at the end of Kirribilli Point, stands Admirality House (closest to the bridge) and Kirribilli House, the Sydney residences of the Governor-General and the Prime Minister respectively, these grand houses are only opened to the public on special occasions, and are within one minute walk of Glenferrie Lodge.

Getting There:

To get here by Train: Catch a Train from Sydney's Central Station via the 'Northern Suburbs Train Line' to 'Milson's Point Train Station' which is a small train station that is actually located on the northern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We you get off the train at Milsons Point it is then approximately a 6 minute walk to Gleneferrie Lodge, your new home away from home on Sydney Harbour! By Car 4 Kilometres north travelling north on George Street Turn left into Grosvenor Street then right onto the Harbour Bridge. From here see Airport directions above. Travelling North on George Street turn left into Grosvenor Street then right onto the Harbour Bridge. Take the Pacific Highway Exit to Kirribilli veering to the left, then left turn into Fitzroy St, then take a right hand turn into Carrabella St, and we're at number 12.
