The Historic Old Courthouse is a Victorian era quadruple brick building and a fine example of early Australian architecture, it was built around 1861 when the gold rush of Araluen was at its height. Now a 4 star resort style Bed & Breakfast, with hot spa under the stars (37deg), swimming pool, tennis court & games room. Two lock-up cells and heavy iron doors, as well as the excercise yard, stand as a reminder of those bygone days. The two cells are now guest rooms with their own ensuite with hairdryer, TV Video, heating, cooling, mini fridge, iron & ironing board, tea & coffee making facilaties, 3 other guests rooms are available including a family room.
