Kasees is a warm and friendly mountain lodge comprising 8 fully self-contained units with kitchens. Kasees is a family built and run business and Ann & Kasee and their staff offer friendly, personal service and take pride in their unique lodge and the reputation they have established. The lodge is situated in the heart of Thredbo Village, directly opposite Crackenback chairlift and above the village pedestrian mall with its restaurants and shops. In winter, the village shuttle bus stops directly outside. Kasees has wonderful views of Mt Crackenback and the Thredbo Valley and each apartment has large windows and access to balconies or garden. All apartments are fully self-contained so guests can choose to eat in or eat out in one of the village restaurants. All apartments have TV/DVD. Apartments are serviced daily for guest comfort. Kasees has an atmospheric guest lounge with fireplace which is a great place to gather after skiing or on a cold day. Enjoy Kasees traditional Finnish sauna all seasons. In summer, enjoy a BBQ or simply relax with a book in the well established, sheltered garden. In winter, enjoy the spectacle of the Saturday night flare run from your window/balcony. Kasees is an ideal venue for group bookings such as weddings, family reunions and birthday weekends away - it is a small intimate lodge offering private facilities as well as communal areas with great atmosphere - the lounge room and garden - where guests can get together.

Children & Extra Guest Policy:
No special rate for children. Babies of cot age only are free of charge. Kasees does not accept extra guests, unless: 1) a booking has been made for 3 persons in a one bedroom and bedsit apartment and a fourth person is requested at a later date. The rate for 3 and 4 persons in such apartment is the same. Kasees cannot however re-arrange bedding configurations in such a situation. 2) a third person is requested in the studio booked for 2. The extra price depends on the time of the season (eg: at Xmas this would be $20 per night).
Reception Information:
Reception open 0700 - 1100 and 1500 - 1900. If arriving after reception close (7pm), please ring to arrange for key pick up.
Car Parking:
Limited on site uncovered parking is available, depending on the season and length of stay. For those staying 5 or more nights, one stacked parking space is available (cars cannot be used during stay). Other cars park in Village overnight parking. In winter, the village shuttle bus stops directly outside for easy access to other car parks, lifts etc.
Things to do:
Meet other guests by the log fire in the cosy guest lounge, complete with piano, books, board games, stereo. Unwind in the Finnish sauna after a day outdoors. Enjoy the views all year round, sit on the balcony at the end of a summer's day and watch the setting sun send a warm glow down the valley. Have an alfresco lunch or BBQ in the sheltered, established garden, or just laze and read a book. Kasees is an ideal venue for group bookings such as weddings, family reunions and birthday weekends away - it is a small intimate lodge offering private facilities as well as communal areas with great atmosphere - the lounge room and garden - where guests can get together.
Local Attractions:
In winter Thredbo's prime attraction is downhill skiing and snowboarding. It is also a base for x-country and snow shoeing on the main range. Thredbo offers a wonderful range of activities in the summer: Golf, Tennis, Fishing, Mountain Biking & Road Cycling, Alpine Walking (including to Mt Kosciuszko), Wildflower viewing, Bird watching, Quiet moments by the Thredbo River, Bobsled. The Thredbo Leisure centre is open all year round. It has a 50 and 25 metre indoor pool with water slide for the kids, Squash Court, Gym, Sports Hall. Thredbo hosts exciting festivals which include Legend of Blues, Country Music Channel Festival, Jazz Festival. It also hosts National Runners Week, National Mountain Bike Championships, the Snowy Ride and Art with Altitude. Thredbo hosts weddings on a regular basis. It is a very popular destination for Easter.
Getting There:
From Jindabyne: Take Alpine Way into Kosciusko National Park, pass the first entrance to Thredbo. Take the next entry, right, onto Banjo Drive. Drive down the hill, Kasees is the second drive on the left. From Khancoban: Take the first entry into Thredbo off the Alpine Way, onto Banjo Drive. Drive down the hill, Kasees is the second drive on the left. Note that National Park Entry Permit is required for those visiting Thredbo Village.
