Spread over 80 acres of pristine rainforest adjoining a World Heritage-listed National Park, the retreat comprises three utterly unique luxurious eco-lodges each with their own character and each offering absolute privacy, perfect for that romantic break away or honeymoon.
The love and attention to detail that has been built into each of these creations, together with the extra touches like being greeted with afternoon tea, has come from the desire to make your stay an unforgettable one. Our hospitality extends to supplying espresso machines and a selection of teas, the option of gluten free bread for breakfast, and vegetarian meals if required. We are also now dog friendly to well mannered pooches. Awaken to the sound of whip birds in the forest outside your window and the smell of freshly baked bread delivered personally to your door. These lodges are perfect for romantic getaways or honeymoons. There's even a traditional gazebo/ pavilion for small weddings. You won't find a more romantic setting than this. You can organise whatever you want yourself, or leave it all to us. ACCOMMODATION FEATURES There are 3 unique lodges to choose from. Sir Joseph Banks Lodge:- A 12 sided 'yurt style' lodge with a self-supporting roof and crafted from 8 different native timbers. It is nestled in the rainforest and reached by your own 16 metre foot bridge. The handmade wood furniture together with the teak floor, creates a warm and intimate atmosphere. The privacy created by the forest, the extra outside shower amongst the palm trees and the spa on the veranda also make it the ideal place for a romantic escape or honeymoon. Features include: Absolute seclusion - each lodge is separate by over one third of a km of rainforest. Spa on the balcony looking into the forest. Hot shower in the trees. Dual shower heads in the bathroom plus bidet. Woodfire and reverse cycle air-conditioning. Fully appointed kitchen. and BBQ. Kings Lodge:- A pair of 300 year old Joglos or Prayer Rooms from a Javanese Kings Palace set the scene for this unforgettable experience. The vaulted teak ceilings and intricate wood carvings are all authentic. A suspended king-size bed with views of the lily-covered lake is a special feature, and an enormous central breezeway with spa and fish pond adds to the tropical and tranquil feel. A truly intriguing and exotic place to stay, guaranteed to refresh your mind, body and spirit. Features include: Absolute seclusion - each lodge is separate by over one third of a km of rainforest. Spa beside the Koi pond in the breezeway. Flood lights to watch fauna and waterfall from your bed. Glass walled shower looking into the forest. Arches and pillars support an earth covered roof making this lodge blend into its surroundings. A courtyard at the rear with an outside shower and grotto for the spa provide intimate privacy. Many small carvings and attention to detail add to an unforgettable experience. Features include: Absolute seclusion - each lodge is separate by over one third of a km of rainforest. A 40 minute drive will have you in world renowned Byron Bay. We are, in fact, part of the Byron Bay Hinterland accommodation.

Extra facilities in your lodge include massage, day spa treatments, yoga, meditation sessions and life readings. You can walk around on the property and visit the platypi playing in our lake, or take a bottle of wine to the pavillion and sit in peace in the forest.
Local Attractions:
Our accommodation has been specially created for guests to just arrive and relax. But if you are interested in wandering out for the day, there are 12 national parks in the area to explore, beautiful country towns with great weekend markets, beaches are 25 minutes from our door, or you could climb Mt Warning and be the first in Australia to see the morning sun!
Getting There:
Take the Murwillumbah exit from the Pacific Highway and follow the Tourist Route 32 signs to Mt Warning Rd. We are one kilometre along on the right.
