Hamilton Heritage is situated on Historic Cameron Hill in the town of Hamilton know as the Cosmopolitan centre of the Newcastle area. We are a short walk to Beaumont Street famous for its smorgasbord of restaurants, cafes and boutique pubs guaranteed to satisfy all taste buds. Hamilton Heritage is a 7klm drive from the Newcastle CBD and foreshore where you will delight with the scenic and historic walks, enjoy surfing, relaxing by the ocean or picnicing in the beautiful parks. Newcastle is know as the city by the sea and the gateway to the Hunter valley.

The Grandiloquent

Room Information:
This set of two rooms consisting of a main room and bathroom with spa bathroom and smaller bedroom off bathroom. Main bedroom has double and single bed with small sofa (suitable for small child) the facilities in this room are a dressingtable with chair, wardrobe, bedside table and lamp, portrack cabinet at foot of main bed, working open fireplace,( wood available upon request) tv,fridge and tea/coffee making facilities cabinet. The room has personal control airconditioner and overhead ceiling fan/light. Seating either side of fireplace. The bathroom is large with double spa/shower, vanity, mirrored towel wall cabinet, iron/ironingboard cabinet. The smaller room has a chest of drawers and wardrobe, double queenanne bunks with bed side draws and lamp. The room has a ceiling fan/light and small heater for wintr warmth. The room is suitable for single, double or family stay, with 4 beds ( 1 double and 3 singles with room for foldaway bed for extra person as well as a cot if needed) Total number of guests that this room will allow is 6 persons with the sofa for a little one and cot.

Children & Extra Guest Policy:
We welcome children of all ages we have a sliding scale of pricing according to the age of the child, children under the age of 1yrs are free. Children from the age of 1yr to 3yrs of age are an extra $10 per child. Children from 4yrs to 7yrs are an extra $15 per child. Children from the age of 8yrs to 11yrs are an extra $20 per child Children fromthe age of 12 yrs to 15yrs are an extra $25 per child Children from 16yrs through to adult are an extra $30 per person.
Car Parking:
Guest car parking is on-street in front of the B&B We can offer off-street parking for one vehicle upon request.
Things to do:
Rest and Read and watch Television, ejoy a coffee or tea and a wonderful breakfast. We have a lovely screened in verandah for your protection from the insects to either chat, read or just relax. There is a guest lounge with tv/dvd and complimentary dvds to watch. All rooms have tvs.
Local Attractions:
There are a host of things to do and see in the Newcastle area.. Art galaries abound exhibiting local and external artworks. All beach activities, ocean baths, surfing, sailboarding, parasurfing, snorkeling, fishing, strolling or just plain lazing. Guided walks with lots of information for you to read as you explore. Fort Scratchley is open to explore by yourself or take a guided tour, or just sit on one of the numerous vantage points and enjoy the panarama of seascape, count the ships, look for whales in season, or dolphins at any time. Catch the Ferry across the harbour to Stockton and take the shipwreck walking tour along the breakwater look for the local seal either fishing or just lazily floating and enjoying the sun. Maybe horse racing is your enjoyment, Broadmeadow Race Course is a short stroll from our door as well as taking in a banquet and watching your favourite win. Harness racing is held on weekend nights you can book in for a smorgasbord and have a flutter on your favourite horse and driver. Maybe you enjoy the wine country we can arrange for a guided tour to several vineyards, cheese and chocolate factories and olive tasting with lunch thrown in if you wish, there are several tours available pick up from the B & B so you can enjoy the day without the worry of having to drive back to the B&B. Take a fourwheel drive tour of the Stockton sand dunes, discover Tin City and the Sigma wreck enjoy sand boarding lot of fun, or if you are adventurous go quad bike riding over the sand dunes with a guide of course. Learn how to pippi it is a lot of fun. River cruises are available from the harbour wharf to historic Morpeth for a days shoping. In season whale watching cruises are a must. Lots of shoping centres with speciality shops for the fashion conscious. There is always something on at the Entertainment Centre or the Civic theatre and play house to satisfy those people who love live entertainment. Lots of the local boutique pubs have live music with guest bands rotating weekly. Or maybe you just want some peace and quiet we can offer you that at Hamilton Heritage, take a book and a cuppa out into the private leafy garden and listen to nature and the windchimes.
Getting There:
Travelling from Sydney via the Directions to Hamilton Heritage from the F3. Take the Newcastle exit off the F3 this will bring you to the link road to Wallsend follow all signs to Newcastle ( you will go through several traffic lights and a couple of roundabouts, the road also has a couple of name changes ), it starts out as Thomas St at Wallsend then at the big round about at the top of Thomas street it changes to Newcastle road, then it makes a name change to Griffith Road, when you come to the Freddy's Fishing World Store it changes to Donald Street, not far after the store you will see the Hamilton sign, there you will start to go up a hill, ( this is the rail line overpass), at the bottom of this hill make a right hand turn into Samdon Street,( the name of the street is above the traffic lights ), once in Samdon Street continue along past the park to the next set of traffic lights here you will need to make a right hand turn into Belford Street, a short way along this road make a left hand turn into Blackall Street, ( there is a bottle shop on this corner) , take the next left turn into Denison Street, we are at the top of the hill about 10 houses from the corner on the left hand side of the road number 178. If you have any challenge with these directions please call us on 0249611242 and we will guide you to our door. If you are travelling from the Queensland area to Hamilton Heritage then continue along the Pacific Hway and follow all signs to Newcastle which will bring you along Hannel Street there you will cross a railway crossing and then aproach a set of traffic lights at which you will make a right turn into Hunter Street continue to the next big set of traffic lights and take the left turn before the lights into Tudor Street, follow this street along until you come to the Fire Station where Tudor st, becomes Belfor St., once past the traffic lights at the fires station stay in the left lane as you are approaching Blackall street ( there is a bottle shop on this corner) turn left in to this street and then left at the next cross street into Denison Street, we are at the top of the hill about 10 houses from the corner on the left hand side number 178. if you have any difficulty following these directions please call us on 0249611242 and we will be happy to guide you to our door. If you are travelling by train from either direction then you will need to vacate the train at the Broadmeadow station where we will be happy to collect you and your belongings. If you are coming from the Sydney direction then as the train passes through the Cardiff station phone us on 0249611242 this will give us plenty of time to be there to meet you on arrival, when you leave the train walk down the ramp into the underpass and then turn right and you will see a set of steps which birng you out to where the taxi's wait we will be waiting in front of that exit. If you are travelling on the xpt train from up the coast phone us as you pass through the Maitland station this will give us plenty of time to be there to meet you. When you alight from the train walk out the main entrance to the station past the ticket office and the kiosk down the stairs to the street or down the ramp near the kiosk you will see the area where the taxi rank is we will be in front of them.. You will see Hamilton Heritage on the back window of the car a silver Sonata. If you are travelling by air to the Newcastle airport there you will find a couple of different modes of transport, either a taxi or the shuttle bus they will both bring you to our door 178 Denison Street Hamilton. If you prefer you can catch the Port Stephens Local bus to the Newcastle Terminal once there phone us and we will come in and collect you from the Terminal.
