We also cater for Tour rest breaks, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Only a 3 hour drive south from Brisbane, why not come down and stay the night? This will enable you to have an easier drive to Sydney or if travelling further south possibly arriving a day earlier. For those travelling north, a stop overnight in Tenterfield will allow easy access to the Gold or Sunshine Coasts the next day and for those travelling inland, most destinations are within reach the next day.

Tenterfield is surrounded by over 10 National parks. An untouched historical district surrounded by bushland, Tenterfield enjoys warm summer days, cool mountain winter nights, blazing red autumns with tree lined roads and bright wildflower springs. The major centre of the shire is the town of Tenterfield, surrounded by the villages: Drake, Jennings, Legume, Liston, Torrington & Urbenville - each as you discover with their own unique attractions. Tenterfield has much to offer, so time permitting, take in the history and scenery. A strong sense of history exists in Tenterfield with links to many National characters. Sir Henry Parks gave his maiden Federation speech in Tenterfield which led to the town being known as "The Birthplace of Our Nation". Captain Thunderbolt (alias Fred Ward) plied his trade as a bushranger in the area. Major J F Thomas who defended Harry "the Breaker" Morant was resident here. Banjo Patterson was married in a Tenterfield church and Peter Allen, the entertainer was born here, grandson of the Tenterfield Saddler, the main character in his beautiful song.
