Room Information:

Ashmar is a self-contained heritage cottage set in a beautiful country garden with spectacular views across our property and beyond. Designed and built with comfort and convenience in mind it includes 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 12 people, a 3-way bathroom, well equipped timber kitchen and laundry (second toilet) with washing and ironing facilities. Plus there is extra accommodation with a double bedroom, extra bathroom and sitting room ideal for the Grandmother and Grandfather's retreat. This is available when more than 6 adults are staying. During quiet moments enjoy the colour TV or in-house video or simply sit and relax while taking in the fabulous scenery. During the cooler months make yourself warm in front of the crackling wood fire. Included in the tariff are linen, towels and all cooking utensils for your convenience. We supply butter, milk, bread, sugar, tea and coffee on arrival, and an old fashioned cuppa awaits you.

Occupancy:

Included in the published rate is 2 adults. (Maximum occupancy - 14 guests). Of the extra guests 12 may be an adult.

Cancellations:

Cancellation of at least 6 weeks notivce - no cost with deposit held over to new date. Cancellations under 6 weeks are as above but if we do not get a booking to fill these dates then 50% of booking with be charged. Cancellellations in last week 100% payment.

The administration fee on refunds is AU$30.00

Children & Extra Guest Policy:

Ashmar is a wonderful place for children. It's a place for them to learn all about animals and to understand where their food comes from. With wide open spaces away from the road, your children have a great environment to play in.

Car Parking:

Ashmar offer a special fenced area for car parking, away from stock and farm animals.

Things to do:

Ashmar offers you a break from your everyday life. Milk a cow - Feed the cattle - Go for a hay ride - Collect eggs - Feed and pat the pony - Bottle feed any new born lambs or goats we are raising - You might be lucky enough to see a new born calf - For group bookings we will we will display how to prepare cattle for the show ring including washing, blow drying ,clipping, breaking in to lead - See all the other animals on the farm - Watch the cattle being mustered on horseback - Take a relaxing stroll around the property - Star Gaze at our beautiful night sky - Or just relax and enjoy your surroundings!

Local Attractions:

There is lots to see and do in the surrounding area if you can tear yourself away from the farm! Take a trip to the country town of Gloucester, which is a 20 minute drive down the road. In Gloucester you will find small cafes, quaint shops and stunning Bucketts Ranges, which you can climb, or maybe head out of town to the local horse riding centre. Or if that's a bit too energetic, why not hire a canoe on the Gloucester River or explore the World Heritage Listed Barrington Tops.
